Final Reflection
Hello! The purpose of this essay is to go in-depth about what outcomes throughout this semester I learned about and increased in. These course outcomes are to “acknowledge your and others’ range of linguistic differences as resources, and draw on those resources to develop rhetorical sensibility; enhance strategies for reading, drafting, revising, editing, and self-assessment; negotiate your own writing goals and audience expectations regarding conventions of genre, medium, and rhetorical situation; develop and engage in the collaborative and social aspects of writing processes; engage in genre analysis and multimodal composing to explore effective writing across disciplinary contexts and beyond; formulate and articulate a stance through and in your writing; practice using various library resources, online databases, and the Internet to locate sources appropriate to your writing projects; strengthen your source use practices (including evaluating, integrating, quoting, paraphrasing, summarizing, synthesizing, analyzing, and citing sources).” As you can see, there were many things I learned from this course. Let’s go more in-depth.
Technical Description:
While writing this assignment, I was able to learn how to cite websites and paraphrase their words, making them my own. I used the Technical Description to draw in my audiences by adding figures and pictures of each part of the AirPod Pros. I kept them intrigued by keeping information concise and clear.
Rhetorical Analysis of Two Lab Reports:
The main thing that I learned more about, was being able to research a topic more in depth. Also, I was able to increase my editing and revising skills due to the formatting of peer review. Basically, the way I peer-reviewed my peer, I did the same to my own assignment and was able to see whether there were any errors throughout the paper.
Group Project Proposal:
I was able to strengthen our source practices by evaluating, integrating, quoting, paraphrasing, summarizing, synthesizing, analyzing, and citing our sources. Since it was a group project, I was able to enhance my strategies and abilities in reading, drafting, revising, editing, and self-assessment. Also, since it was a group project, I was able to develop and engage in the collaborative and social aspects of the writing processes because we had to give an oral presentation as well. I was able to acknowledge my own and others’ range of linguistic differences as resources and draw on those resources to develop a rhetorical sensibility by revising and editing their work. We were able to negotiate our own writing goals and audience expectations regarding conventions of genre, medium, and rhetorical situation by making the presentation and written proposal more engaging.
